Time Machine #1 - Feel Younger

Old days can be lethargic and lazy, we understand. That is why we at Helpee, believe in keeping our elderly updated about healthy lifestyles, ensuring they stay fit and energized throughout the day. Here are a few things that’ll make sure you get the most out of your day -

  • Get Enough Sleep : One of the most important and crucial parts of our life is our sleeping pattern. Sleeping by 10 and getting 7~8 hours long sleep will help you keep calm, your immune system good, and your body energized and prevent premature aging. Also, taking short naps of about 20-40 minutes in the afternoon will help your body re-energize for the hustle and bustle of the day.

  • Continue to Learn : A part of healthy aging is the determination to continue to grow and learn. Post retirement, you can start a new career in different fields such as Freelancing, Teaching, Serve or Prepare Food, Librarian and many more. You can also keep learning by reading books and novels, watching movies and shows, visiting museums, learning about a place or culture by traveling, taking a workshop and also by opting for online courses of your interest.

  • Drinking Water : One of the most ignored essentials of our life is water. There’s a reason why doctors recommend consuming enough quantity of water everyday. Research shows that staying hydrated not only benefits everything from hypertension, slow aging to heart disease but lack of it or dehydration can lead to development of chronic disease. It is highly recommended to keep an eye on your water consumption cycle.

  • Socialising : Every human being is a social animal. We understand that friendships change in many ways as you grow old, but the important thing is having good relationships and maintaining socialisation habits. The National Institute on Aging suggests that social well-being may be associated with lower levels of interleukin-6, a factor that can contribute to Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, arthritis and some cancers.
